Countdown Begins

Had my 35 week appt today. I was asked if I had any more questions (I bombarded the Doc last time with questions). I didn't have any. I had been constantly measuring a week ahead and now he is right on track. Disappointing in a way because now rather than thinking I will be early (around the 10th) I am thinking he is going to be a stubborn butt and be late (le sigh). I really don't want to go another 5 weeks.

He is dropping a bit. I told her about all of the Braxton Hicks contractions I have been having and how they do make me light headed. The aren't consistent but definately constant. She checked me and I am not much effaced but 1cm dialated. As much as I wanted to avoid the internals, I need to have them because of my VBAC status. Oh well.  I was hooked up to the monitor for 20 minutes because I am starting to dialate. I had one really strong one and just the normal "irritated" contractions. Nothing to worry about and definately no sign of preterm labor (darn).

Tomorrow I finally have my eye doctor appt. I will be so glad when I can actually see again. It has been so rough without m glasses. I don't know how I did it for so long.

I also talked with Freddy last night. The SPD has been acting up fierce again and I am not sure how much longer I will be able to work. We agreed that I will try to make it through next week and then I am done.  Doc agrees that this is a good time to start going on modified bedrest. Just so I can take the pressure off my hips. As much as I want that because of the pain, I am also worried that this will definately make him late because there wont be his head pushing down on my cervix to help naturally induce labor. We shall see.

Life is as always, stressful. I would complain but, it wouldn't do much good.

  2. Sweet Heavens, you are a doll! Even in modified bedrest, I'm sure you'll still move or walk a bit, so maybe that will be enough! I sure hope so, at least! Good luck! =D

  3. My place actually tried to talk me out of my appointment for an eye exam last week - told me that the pregnancy hormones would change my vision too much right now. Whatev. Turned out my vision had barely changed at all and got my new glasses.

And by the way...you look adorable!

  5. Even on modified bedrest... do some bouncing on that ball! That should help a little! =) If you get bored, just buzz me! ;-)
